Lim Young-woong Produces Photo Book Instead of CD for Second Full Album… “A Decision Reflecting Environmental Concerns”

[Alpha Economy = Reporter Lee Go-eun] Singer Lim Young-woong is drawing attention by producing his upcoming second full album as a photo book rather than a CD. On the 29th, his agency, Fish Music, announced that the regular album “I’m Hero 2” (IM HERO 2), set to be released on August 29th, will be produced in the form of an album book containing photos.
Unlike typical albums that include a CD with the recorded tracks, “I’m Hero 2” will consist of Lim Young-woong’s photos and messages without a CD. Sales of the album book will not be counted in album sales statistics. The tracks can be enjoyed through various digital music platforms.
The agency explained that they made this decision out of concerns for the environmental impact and the decreasing conditions for listening to music via CD. Fish Music stated, “This decision was made after long and careful discussions with Lim Young-woong,” adding, “While the way we commemorate the album may change, we hope that the sincerity within can be delivered even more closely.”
