Lim Young-woong, who released his 2nd album, will not release it in CD format but instead as an album book
[Sports Seoul | Reporter Lee Joo-sang] Recently, Lim Young-woong released his 2nd album, but it will not be released in CD format and will instead be produced in the form of an album book.
Lim Young-woong stated that this decision was made after long discussions with his agency, Fish Music, and is a sincere effort to connect with fans in a meaningful way.
In particular, he pointed out three specific reasons for this choice:
The first is meaningful communication and value-centric interaction with fans. By producing the album in an album book format instead of a CD, Lim Young-woong expressed his intention to include personal messages, photo shoots related to the album, credits, etc., to communicate more deeply with fans.
The second is consideration of the album production method. By breaking away from the conventional CD album format and presenting the album as an album book, he aimed to offer fans a new experience and increase its collectible value.
The third is a change in the way albums are distributed. Given that the distribution of digital music has become widespread, this is seen as the result of a careful decision to provide fans with a more meaningful physical album.
In summary, Lim Young-woong’s 2nd album can be seen as a decision made to ensure sincere communication with fans, provide a new album experience, and consider an album distribution approach suitable for the digital era.
His agency, Fish Music, explained, “This was decided after long and in-depth discussions with Lim Young-woong. The agency deeply sympathizes and agrees with the artist’s heartfelt desires. Though the form of commemorating the album may change, we have prepared it with the hope that the emotions and sincerity contained within will reach the fans even more closely, so please look forward to it.”
The soon-to-be-released album book will be available exclusively on ‘I’m Hero Mall,’ Lim Young-woong’s official MD mall, from 2 p.m. on the 31st.
